Weeksville Heritage Center-Volunteer Opportunities
Looking for ways to give back, become a valued partner with the Weeksville team?
Weeksville Heritage Center is looking to establish volunteer corps who are interested in assisting our teams with events, rentals, and programmatic needs. This would include the setup and breakdown of programs and events, wayfinding, light housekeeping, grounds maintenance & greeting visitors and guests in conjunction with Weeksville staff.

Collections Manager
The Collections Manager is responsible for the physical and intellectual aspects of the Weeksville Heritage Center’s historic homes, collection of artifacts, documents, photographs, textiles, and other objects. The Collections Manager ensures that the historic homes and objects are properly cared for, manages storage, conservation and record-keeping associated with objects. The incumbent will develop policies and standards for acquiring and disposing of objects, develop a master plan for maintenance, preservation, and conservation of the historic Hunterfly Houses.
Executive Assistant to the President & CEO
The Executive Assistant is an important colleague who will support the President & CEO and institution to work in a number of ways including: administration, program execution, correspondences, relationship building and management. The position works strategically to manage the CEO’s time and commitments.
Part Time Tour Educator
The Tour Educator conducts historic house tours for school groups and other visitors. In addition, the Tour Educator provides valuable administrative support related to program development, implementation and evaluation. This position represents WHC to a broad range of audiences and stakeholders through tours and wider community engagement.
Building Custodial Assistant
The Building Custodial Assistant will assist and ensure that through the provision of quality custodial and maintenance services: staff, administrators, curators, and students have an environment that is safe, healthy, and responsive to educational programming. The Building Custodial Assistant will assist with the day-to-day running of the facilities and grounds. These services include but are not limited to: cleaning and inspections.
Development Associate
The Development Associate provides essential administrative, operational, and logistical support to the Development Department at Weeksville Heritage Center. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Associate supports donor communications, individual giving activities, fundraising campaigns, grant coordination, Board engagement, and event support. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive professional interested in learning all aspects of nonprofit fundraising within a dynamic cultural organization.
